Falconry - The Ancient Sport of Kings
At Faithlegg we offer you a Bird of Prey experience of a lifetime offering a unique opportunity to personally fly, handle, feed and interact with some of the world's most amazing Birds of Prey.
Duration 90 mins €100 for 1 person €50 per person extra.
Your Falconry Experience will include a simulated hunt, a Hawk Walk and an Owl Encounter. We will demonstrate the Ancient Art of Falconry. Watch our Hawks demonstrate their aerial hunting skills by snatching food out of the air and witness a simulated rabbit hunt where our Hawk will chase and catch the dummy bunny and the Falconer will demonstrate the transfer from the dummy bunny. Your Hawk Walk will include a brief introduction into the Art of Falconry and interesting facts about the Harris Hawk you will fly. You will first be taught how to recall the Hawk from the trees while working on some amazing photos and videos. You will then set off for your Hawk Walk with a Falconer where you will take over the flying of the Hawk, calling the Hawk to your gloved fist several times. On return we will finish with a brief owl encounter. Fantastic photo and video opportunities throughout the experience. (seasonal, therefore not available from September to May).

Boules (Or Petanque as they call it in France)
The goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally "piglet") while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground. The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel but we recommend our back gardens preferably over a cold drink of something at the bar. Boules sets are available at the Guest Relations Desk.
