Angling
This part of Waterford Coast saw very heavy U-Boat action in the First World War, resulting in Waterford having one of the highest concentrations of shipwrecks around the Irish Coast. Many of these are within an hour of Dunmore East and provide excellent angling, as do The Reefs off Hook Head. A catch of over 20 species a day not being uncommon including Conger, Ling, Cod, Pollock, Coalfish, Blue Shark, Bass, Whiting, Gurnards, Flounder, Dabs and Dogfish.
Archery
The Dunmore East based Activity Centre can provide on site Archery tuition for a 2-hour period. The lessons are ideally suited to between 12 to 15 persons, utilising 3 targets. After the course a competition commences to evaluate the contestants.
Quad Bikes
Located outside Enniscorthy, a 30 minute drive from the Hotel, ‘Quad Attack’ offers the ultimate challenge & cross country driving experience. They offer courses to suit all abilities and supervise all events. Their motto is ‘The Wetter -The Better’ and they guarantee an action packed hour .
Horse Riding
Whether your guests are experienced riders or taking the reins for the first time the Killoreran Stables offers highly qualified instructors and an unforgettable setting combining for a perfect riding centre. The centre offers scenic treks for groups of up to 20 persons though unspoilt country side and is routed along the Suir River.
Walking
We can offer the services of a local historian for an hour long historic walk of Waterford City Walls. The fortifications date back to Viking & Anglo Norman period with six towers and long stretches of the wall is still standing.
